Alexis Aitkinson - Head of Centre

Alexis has been Head of Centre at Queen Street Early Learning & Childcare Centre since 2012, the same year she completed her BA in Childhood Practice.  Alexis originally qualified with a Nursery nurse qualification then completed a Level 8 PDA in 2007 and has over 26 years experience of working with children.  In her spare time Alexis loves spending quality time with her daughter, husband and her wee Jack Russell.

Fiona Grant - Principal Early Years Officer

Fiona has worked in private, voluntary and statutory sectors for over 25 years, working with children from birth to 12 years. Fiona started working at Queen Street in August 2016 as Senior Early Years Officer and is currently Principal Early Years Officer.  Fiona holds a HNC Child Care and Early Years Education, Diploma in Management and a BA Childhood Practice. In Fiona's spare time she volunteers with Girls Brigade Scotland and spending time with her family.

Michelle Ritchie - Senior Early Years Officer

Michelle started at Queen Street in February 2016. She holds a HNC Early Education and Childcare qualification and is currently studying towards her BA Childhood Practice. Michelle Currently works in the 3-5 room.  During her spare time Michelle enjoys socialising with her friends and spending time with her family.

Lauren White - Early Years Officer

Lauren started at Queen Street  in August 2016. Lauren holds a HNC Early Education and Childcare and currently works in the 3-5 room.  In Lauren's spare time she enjoys socialising and travelling the world.

Megan Aitken  - Early Years Officer

Megan began work with Falkirk Council as a Modern Apprentice and qualified in 2014.  Megan began her post in Queen Street in 2015.  Megan completed her SCQF level 8 Social Services for Children and Young People in 2018.  She currently works in the 3-5's room.  Megan enjoys going out walking with her dog Pongo and shopping.

Tracy Grant - Early Years Officer

Tracy has been working at Queen Street Nursery School for over 12 years. Tracy holds a HNC Childcare and Education qualification and works in the 2's room.  Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and knitting in her spare time.

Susanne Simpson - Early Years Officer

Susanne has been working at Queen Street since 2001.  She holds an HNC in Child Care and Early Years Education. Susanne currently works in the 3-5 room.  In Susanne's spare time she enjoys going for long walks with her two dogs and her husband.

Yazmin Stewart - Early Years Officer

Yazmin started at Queen Street in October 2016. She holds an SCQF Level 9 in Social Services for Children and Young People and currently works in the 2's room.  In her spare time Yazmin enjoy keeping fit and going on holiday.

Julia Marshall  - Senior Early Years Officer

Julia has been working at Queen Street since 2011. Julia qualified with a SVQ level 3 and is currently working towards her HND . Julia  currently works in the 2's room.  Julia enjoys spending time with her family and walking in her spare time.

Michaela Kerr - Early Years Officer

Michaela started at Queen Street as a Modern Apprentice in March 2016 and qualified in March 2017. Michaela currently works in the 2's room.  During her spare time Michaela likes to shop and spend time socialising with friends and family.

Morgan McBride - Early Years Officer

Morgan began attending Queen Street as a student while studying for her HNC in Childcare and Education in 2016.  We welcomed her back as a permanent team member in August 2018 when she joined us as an Early Years Officer based in the 3-5's room.  In Morgan's spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and family, going for walks with her dog and going on holiday.

Keira Rollo - Early Years Officer

keira was a Modern Apprentice with Falkirk Council and qualified with an SVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development in 2012.  Starting with Queen Street Early Learning & Childcare Centre n August 2018.  keira is in a Peripatetic role based between both the 3-5's and 2's rooms on Mondays and Tuesdays.  In her spare time Keira enjoys shopping and curling up on the couch with a blanket and a book.

Margaret Ramage - Clerical

Margaret has worked in a sales and service environment managing a small office. She then worked for the NHS before she had her family. Margaret came to Queen Street in 1992. Margaret has since received her long service award for 25 years.  In her spare time Margaret enjoys reading, baking, dining out and going to the theatre.

Mary Allison - Support for Learning Assistant

Mary joined us at Queen Street in november 1999.  Mary has held her Professional Development Award in Support for Learning since 2005 and currently works with the children in the 3-5's room.  Mary enjoys spending time with her family and going to the gym in her spare time.

Olivia Flynn - Early Years Officer

Olivia came to Queen Street as a Modern Apprentice in 2017.  After qualifying Olivia was recruited as an Early Years Officer in 2018 and currently works with the children in the 2's room.  In her spare time Olivia really enjoys spending time wih her niece and nephew and having a duvet day at the weekend watching movies.

Ciara Ewing - Early Years Officer

Ciara joined us September 2018 and holds her HNC in Early Years & Childcare.  Ciara currently works in the 3-5's room.  In her spare time Ciara enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her two nieces.

Sarah Smith - Modern Apprentice

Sarah joined the Queen Street team in April 2018 as a Modern Apprentice and is currently working in the 3-5's room.  Sarah enjoys exploring outdoors with her family, gardening and swimming in her spare time.

Edit Csada - Nursery Assistant

 

Edit joined Queen Street in 2018 as a student and volunteer.  Edit holds a Hungarian Primary Teaching Diploma and is now studying towards her Early Learning & Childcare as well as holding her Nursery Assistant position.  In her spare time Edit enjoys lowland walking and lots of craft activites.

Michelle Harvey - Kitchen Assistant

Michelle joined the Queen Street team in 2015.  She currently holds Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate and was trained and was trained through Falkirk Council.  In her spare time Michelle enjoys arts & crafts and cycling.
